We believe God so loved the world of helpless sinners that He gave His only begotten Son, who, though in all points tempted as we are, lived without sin in the human flesh. That Son, Jesus Christ, died as a sacrifice for the sins of humanity. His life, because He is the creator of all humanity, is of greater value than the sum total of all human life. His death is, therefore, sufficient to pay the penalty for every human being's sins. In paying this penalty He has made it possible, according to God's plan for each person and for humanity as a whole, for us to have our sins forgiven and to be released from the death penalty (Hebrews 4:15; Hebrews 9:15; Hebrews 10:12; John 1:18; John 3:16; Colossians 1:16-17, Colossians 1:22; 1 John 2:2; 1 John 4:10; Ephesians 1:11; Revelation 13:8).
In terms of Jesus’ sacrifice, anyone familiar with the Bible will first think of His sacrificial death at Calvary to atone for the sins of mankind. His crucifixion was indeed the greatest act of sacrifice in the history of the world, a perfect demonstration of His own teaching in John 15:13, "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends." His supreme offering of His sinless life paid the terrible cost of all of mankind's sins for all time (see Hebrews 9:26-28; 10:10, 12, 14).
In furtherance, His sacrifice was so necessary for the promises of God to be fulfilled. “… But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33. You might wonder what “these things” are. Matthew 6:31-32 says, “Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek…”
The Bible recorded that unbelievers pursue them. In other words, the unbelievers can do anything to get them. People do different sacrifices for different things. Unbelievers can kill or shed blood; sacrifice in order to get power, riches, wealth, glory, etc. Some sacrifice different animals for the same purpose. But the Lord Jesus Christ has done the Most Effective Sacrifice at the Cross of Calvary. “For this reason Christ is the Mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal INHERITANCE—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.” Hebrew 9:15. Look at another interesting one! “And they sang in a mighty chorus: "Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered--to receive POWER and RICHES and WISDOM and STRENGTH and HONOUR and GLORY and BLESSING.” Revelation 5:12.
The Lord Jesus Christ sacrificed Himself for you to receive seven most wonderful things you need. Truly, the unbelievers are missing a lot! They can do anything for the things. Jesus paid the price! Look at the 7 wonderful things you are getting for free:
1. POWER: “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.” Deuteronomy 8:18. The singular sacrifice of Jesus releases the required power to get wealth. You do not need to join secret cult again. You do not need to sacrifice your relatives or innocent people in order to get wealth. Jesus’ sacrifice has done it all. HIS BLOOD IS THE MOST EFFECTIVE!
2.
Furthermore, you do not need the occult power to win elections. You do not need the power of the devil to do miracles in your church. The Power you need is in the Lamb that was slaughtered! Praise Jesus Christ!
The sacrifice releases Power over death! He has conquered the grave by rising out of it himself, and living for evermore, having the keys of the grave in his hands. Now this victory, in all its branches, is given by God to believers; they are made to share in all the victories of Christ the head, and are more than conquerors through Him; but this is not by merit, but by gift.
2.RICHES: For every individual who accepts by faith the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross for their sins there is the blessed assurance that one day they share in the very glory which He had laid aside precisely in order that He might die the death by which alone He could redeem them.“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.” 2 Corinthians 8:9. You are rich in His grace and mercy. You are rich in an intimate love relationship with God. You are rich in the Holy Spirit indwelling in you, filing you, guiding you, empowering you. You are rich in His love. Ephesians 1:3. You are exceedingly rich! We have been made rich as partakers of His divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). It is divine because of its source and its nature. Jesus said in John 17:22, "The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one." Romans 8:17 tells us since we are His children, we are "heirs of God and fellow-heirs with Christ." Wow! Paupers, no! Exceedingly rich, indeed!
He has been so generous in making us exceedingly rich.
